Mostafa Keyhani was born in 1954 and is a Persian Canadian citizen. He is currently living in Ontario with his wife and daughter, a college student. It was during Keyhani’s years as a secondary school student that he was encouraged by one of his teachers to pursue his artistic talents. At this time, he became completely devoted to painting.
Mr. Keyhani received his diploma in Biology and Anatomy and then began his formal art studies at Teheran and Düsseldorf Universities. After receiving his degree, he traveled for seven years through Germany and France, perfecting his painting techniques. Mostafa’s paintings typically convey the lively spirit of street scenes, scenic landscapes and the beauty of floral still lifes. His use of color and his brushwork technique are truly brilliant and he always enchants the viewer with his energetic compositions.
Paintings by Mostafa are featured in galleries and private and corporate collections around the world including, Munich, Düsseldorf, Paris, Cannes, Canada and the United States. Mr. Keyhani has work in the permanent collections at the Canadian Parliament Building and St. Michael’s College in Vermont.
Mostafa is an Associate Member of Oil Painters of America (OPA), the Salmagundi Club and the Tucson Plein Air Painters’ Society. At the Plein Air Tucson 2001, Keyhani was awarded the Judges Favorite for the Best Street Scene.
